The Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra starrer The Sabarmati Report is all set to be released on OTT platform after its theatrical run. The Dheeraj Sarna-directed political drama film was out in cinemas on November 15, 2024, and received an underwhelming reception from the audience and critics. However, a few Bollywood celebrities and Indian politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the movie and the actors.
About The Sabarmati Report
Based on a real-life event, the Vikrant starrer follows the tale of a reporter, who finds an old hidden report of a journalist about the 2002 Godhra train burning incident in Gujarat. He decides to dig deeper and help that person investigate the event to uncover a conspiracy and reveal the truth.

The cast of the political drama
Apart from Vikrant, Raashii and Ridhi, The Sabarmati Report also features Barkha Singh in a cameo appearance with Sundip Ved, Digvijay Purohit, Hella Stichlmair, Nazneen Patni, Abhishant Rana, Urvashi Golter, Milind Pathak, Milind Joshi and Aparna Menon in supporting roles among others.
OTT Release date
The Sabarmati Report, which was theatrically released on November 15, 2024, is all set for its digital premiere on ZEE5 on January 10, 2025. Today, the political drama star Vikrant took to his official Instagram handle to announce the OTT release date of the film with a new motion poster and a special caption that reads, “The nation’s biggest cover-up unravels, revealing the truth—only on #ZEE5. Watch #TheSabarmatiReport premiering on 10th Jan, only on #ZEE5! #TheSabarmatiReportOnZEE5 (sic).”

Makers of The Sabarmati Report
The Dheeraj Sarna directorial was initially being helmed by Ranjan Chandel. However, the latter left the project due to creative differences. The screenplay for the Aseem Arrora-written story is done by Arjun Bhandegaonkar, Avinash Singh Tomar and Vipin Agnihotri. Meanwhile, it is bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, Vikir Films Production and Vipin Agnihotri Films in association with Zee Studios.
