Ramayana: Part 1 marks the most anticipated Indian epic film of the year. Produced by Namit Malhotra, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, and Yash in pivotal roles. The makers have finally unveiled the much-awaited official trailer, which teases the larger-than-life spectacle of the movie.

Based on the ancient Indian scripture Ramayana, the movie follows the arduous fourteen-year exile of Rama, Sita, and Lakshman, as well as all the significant events that occurred during their journey. The latest trailer introduces all the pivotal actors and their characters in this epic saga. The official video begins by introducing Yash as Ravana, while Ranbir is seen in the avatar of Lord Rama, Ravie as Lakshman, and Sai as Sita. Interestingly, one of the most crucial characters, Hanuman, played by Sunny Deol, is yet to be unveiled. However, the trailer beautifully showcases the magnificent scale of the upcoming film.

Cast of the film
Alongside the lead actors, Ramayana: Part 1 also features Arun Govil as Dasharatha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, with Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Sheeba Chadha, Indira Krishnan and Shobhana in key roles.
Release date
The movie is planned to be concluded within a two-part series. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it is written for the screen by Sridhar Raghavan and Kumar Vishwas. The music of the film is composed by German composer Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman. Bankrolled under the banners of Prime Focus Studios, Monster Mind Creations, and Atlas Entertainment, Ramayana: Part 1 is slated to hit cinemas in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam on November 6, 2026, coinciding with the festival of Diwali.
