Soon after the announcement came, several screenshots of tweets from what is claimed to be the singer’s private account, started doing the rounds on X (formerly Twitter). Apparently, the two-time National Award-winning singer shared that he didn’t take this decision because of any “one reason” in particular.
“There are several reasons plus I have trying to do this since a long time,” he wrote adding that, “One of the reasons were simple, I get bored pretty quick, thats why I keep changing arrangements of the same songs and perform them on stage. So here is the thing, I got bored.” Citing another reason for his move, the singer informed that he is “excited to her some singer come up” and give him “real motivation.” Furthermore, Arijit shared that he needs to “do some other music to live.”

Referring to him as a “genius,” she shared that “an artist of his calibre can never be defined by the traditional means and medium and be boxed to fit in the set formula.”

The singer clarified in tweets on his private X account that he is yet to “finish some pending commitments” so there may be some more of his songs that are likely to get released this year. “Just to be clear that I won’t stop making music,” he wrote, and added, “I am a fan of good music and in future will be learning more and do more on my own as a small little artist.” He signed off after thanking everyone for their support.
