John Abraham starrer The Diplomat is the upcoming political thriller inspired by a true event. After an exciting teaser video, the makers have dropped the official trailer glimpsing the crucial sequences of the film. Directed by Shivam Nair, the highly anticipated movie also features Sadia Khateeb, Revathy, Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi in significant roles.

John portrays the role of real-life IFS officer J.P. Singh. The upcoming film narrates the crucial event that took place in the life of this Indian diplomat. The latest trailer showcases how an officer, posted in the Indian embassy of Pakistan, helps an Indian girl return to her home country.

The official video begins with Sadia entering the Indian embassy and asking the employees to save her from her husband. When John interrogates her, she reveals that she was forced to move to Pakistan after unwillingly marrying a man. However, the diplomat does not believe her statements blindly and follows the interrogation process to find the truth behind the whole fiasco. The trailer further showcases how he uses tact and negotiation rather than war and help the woman get back home.

Ahead of the trailer release, the makers shared a unique motion poster of the movie on their official Instagram handle featuring a few important characters. The post captioned, “When hope seemed lost, one diplomat dared to defy the odds. #TheDiplomatTrailer Premiering Tomorrow at 11 am. Releasing worldwide on 7th March (sic).”
