Rumours of Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s breakup started doing the rounds a few months back. However, both the actors remained tight-lipped on the matter and had neither confirmed, nor denied the speculations.
At the recent Diwali bash hosted by Raj Thackeray in Mumbai on Monday, Arjun seemingly confirmed that he’s no longer dating Malaika. In a video from the event that has been doing the rounds on social media, Arjun can be seen saying, “Abhi single hoon, relax karo (I’m single now, so relax)“ to the crowd who’d been chanting Malaika’s name on seeing him.

Arjun was accompanied by his co-stars Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff from his upcoming Rohit Shetty directorial titled Sigham Again. During the event, when one of the organizers invited Arjun to say a few words, the crowd started shouting Malaika’s name. On hearing this, Arjun told them, “Nahi nahi abhi single hoon, relax karo” and added, “Inhone ‘tall aur handsome’ bola toh aisa laga ke shaadi ki baat karne wale hain. Isliye bol raha hoon, relax karo (He said ‘tall and handsome’ – it seemed as if he’s going to talk about my wedding. That’s why I said relax).”

Arjun and Malaika started seeing each other back in 2018 – a year after Malaika’s divorce with Arbaaz Khan. They made their relationship official in 2019 and were often spotted making public appearances together.
However, earlier this year, a report on Pinkvilla informed that their relationship has gone kaput. A source was quoted as saying by the publication, “They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship.” The source also shared that the duo had a special relationship and that they will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts.

Earlier this month, on Malaika’s birthday, Arjun shared a cryptic post that read, “Never forget who you are – The Lion King,” which further fuelled the rumours about their breakup. In September, when Malaika’s father left for heavenly abode, Arjun was seen standing right beside her in her support. But with the recent video, it seems like he’s confirmed that he’s no longer in a relationship with Malaika.
On the work front, Arjun is all set for the release of Singham Again which is slated to hit the theatres on November 1. He will be seen playing the antagonist in the film which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh along with Ajay and Tiger.
