Citadel: Honey Bunny is the most anticipated espionage thriller in the Russo brothers’ created spy universe. After another banger trailer video, the makers have released a peppy romantic track crooned by Sachin-Jigar, Ash King, Shubham Kabra, and Shruti Dhasmana. The Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer marks the prequel to the first web series of the franchise.

Citadel: Honey Bunny story
Bunny is a secret agent, who helps train Honey to be recruited as a spy in his agency. Life happens, and the two love birds become estranged from each other. Years later, the duo reunite to protect their young daughter, Nadia, from the messy world they are forced to live in.

The Citadel Universe
The spy universe mainly created by Russo Brothers revolves around a secret agency called Citadel. The first web show of the franchise was released in April 2023, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Post that, the Italian spin-off series, set in the future dropped in October 2024.
The Indian spin-off series starring Varun and Samantha marks the prequel to the first season. Meanwhile, the second season of the original show is renewed and a few spin-off instalments set in different countries are currently under work.

Along with Varun and Samantha in titular characters, the highly awaited series also features Kay Kay Menon, Kashvi Majmundar, Saqib Saleem, Shivankit Parihar, Sohum Mazumdar, Sikander Kher, Simran Bagga and Emma Canning in crucial roles.
Release date
The most anticipated show is directed by the dynamic duo Raj & DK who also produced it alongside Syed Zaid Ali, Alek Conic, Anthony and Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes and David Weil. Citadel: Honey Bunny is set to release on Prime Video on November 7.
