It was nothing less than fireworks at the box office this festive weekend of Diwali as two much anticipated franchise films hit the theatres on November 1. Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Tripti Dimri starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 clashed with the combined star power of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff’s Singham Again.
Both the films were as different as chalk and cheese and both gathered mixed response from the critics. However, going by the box office collections of the first three days, it seems that Singham Again has won the battle, however marginally, in the opening weekend as both the films collected approx Rs 100 crore at the ticket windows in the first three days.
As per Box Office India, the approximate day-wise box office collections of both the films in the opening weekend are as follows:
Friday (Day 1):
Singham Again – Rs 40.00 crore
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – Rs 33.25 crore
Saturday (Day 2):
Singham Again – Rs 38.25 crore
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – Rs 34.75 crore
Sunday (Day 3):
Singham Again – Rs 33.00 crore
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – Rs 32.00 crore

Total box office collections in the opening weekend:
Singham Again – Rs 111 crore approx.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – Rs 100 crore approx.
As per reports, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 seems to be doing better than Singham Again in the UP, Delhi, East Punjab, Rajasthan, and West Bengal circuits. On the other hand, the Rohit Shetty directorial seems to be struggling a bit in the Delhi/NCR and East Punjab regions. However, Singham Again is reportedly doing quite well in the Mumbai/Maharashtra regions.
On day 4, the Ajay Devgn film raked in a total of Rs 17.50 crore approx, passing the Monday litmus test with flying colours and taking the film’s overall collections to Rs 128.75 core approx in four days. Kartik Aaryan’s film too managed to mint approx Rs 17.50 crore on its first Monday, thereby taking the total four-day collections to stand at approx Rs 117.50 crore.
As per BOI reports, Singham Again‘s first week box office collections are likely to be around Rs 155 crore, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 seems to be eyeing Rs 150 crore in its first week. Watch this space for more updates.
