Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is one of the most anticipated theatrical outings of the month. Soon after announcing the release date of the Japanese Anime film, the makers dropped the official trailer. Co-produced by Japan and India in 1993, the movie is based on the greatest Indian epic Ramayana by Valmiki.

The latest trailer, which has been released in multiple languages including Hindi, English and Tamil, gives a glimpse of the animated film. The official video promises stunning visuals of the epic tale. It showcases snippets of the movie that witness a few main characters including Rama, Sita, Ravana, Lakshmana and Hanuman among others. The
Among other production houses, Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Movies has also bankrolled the Japanese Anime. The Bollywood actor-filmmaker took to his official Instagram handle and shared the latest trailer video with a special caption that reads, “Experience India’s most beloved epic on the big screen, for the first time in 4K! रामायण: The Legend Of Prince Rama, trailer out now! #Ramayana #TheLegendOfPrinceRama #RamayanaTrailer (sic).”

The cast of the film
The Koichi Sasaki, Ram Mohan and Yugo Sako directorial stars Nikhil Kapoor, Rael Padamsee, Uday Mathan, Mishal Varma, Noel Godin and Bulbul Mukherjee as the voice-over actors for the lead characters in this animated film. Meanwhile, Madhulika Varma, Rahul Bose, Pearl Padamsee, Bhargava Krishna, Shagufta Jaffrey, Easo Vivin Mathew, Denzil Smith and Cyrus Broacha are in the supporting roles.

Release date
Co-produced by Yugo Sako, Kenji Yoshii and Atsushi Matsuo under Nippon Ramayana Film Co, the highly anticipated title is also bankrolled by TEM Co. Ltd, Geek Pictures India Pvt Ltd and AA Films along with Excel Entertainment. Ramayana – The Legend of Prince Rama is all set to hit Indian cinemas in 4K on January 24, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English languages.
