Based on a real event, The Diplomat starring John Abraham marks a highly awaited political thriller. The makers have dropped the highly awaited teaser that introduces all pivotal actors in the film. The Shivam Nair directorial also has Sadia Khateeb, Revathy, Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.

John, who plays IFS J.P. Singh, tries to help a young Indian woman migrate back to her country from Pakistan after she declares that she was taken there after being forced and deceived into marrying against her will. The latest teaser begins with real footage of India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar speaking at an event as he says, “Who was the greatest diplomat in the world? The greatest diplomat was Shree Krishna and Hanuman Ji.”
John impresses with the way he plays a diplomat and cfirm words instead of wars. in his character, who appears interrogating a woman. She mentions to the diplomat that she is an Indian citizen and she has been forced to live in Pakistan. The teaser also gives glimpses of the key characters in the film including Sharib and Sadia.
The production giant, T-series, took to its official Instagram handle and shared the latest video with a special caption that reads, “Kayi yuddh apni senaa ke saath jeetey jaate hain, aur kuchh yuddh sirf neeti se! 🇮🇳 Witness the power of persuasion & strategy in #TheDiplomat #TheDiplomatTeaser out now. Directed by Shivam Nair, the upcoming political thriller is written by Ritesh Shah. Based on real-life events, the highly anticipated movie is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, John Abraham, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma and Rakesh Dang under the banners of T-Series, JA Entertainment, Wakaoo Films, Fortune Pictures and Seeta films.
