Penn Badgley starrer You is all set to return for the last time with a ‘killer finale’. The makers have recently dropped an announcement video and revealed the release date of the series finale. You Season 5 Date Announcement
The show-makers along with Netflix dropped an intriguing announcement video that witnesses Joe Goldberg (played by Penn) walking into Mooney’s, the same bookstore in New York City, where he used to work in the first season. He appears to be talking to his alter ego in his mind, and giving a hint to the audience. “Hello, You. Do you remember me? Cause I remember you. Here we are together again, back to where it began. A lot has happened these many years together. Identities, cities, loves. Complications. But all that led me here to now, to where I was always meant to be. You, who have been there the whole time.”
Amid the one-on-one conversation, the teaser glimpses a few sequences from the past instalments. Moving on, as soon as he enters the basement under the bookstore, he seems to be happily reunited with his iconic glass cell. The official video ends with stating the release date of the final instalment and anointing it “a killer finale”.
