After making the viewers wait for almost two years, the makers of Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi, and Anchal Singh starrer Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein finally released the trailer of the second season of the show. The dark romantic thriller became a sleeper hit upon its release in 2022 and is all set to return for a new, more intriguing, and wilder season.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein plot
The Netflix original series is based on the obsessive love of a powerful politician’s daughter – Purva (Anchal) for a simpleton Vikrant (Tahir) and her relentless, all-consuming, and neurotic pursuit of him. Vikrant on the other hand is in love with Shikha (Shweta) and makes one desperate attempt after another to reclaim his life from the clutches of the powerful father-daughter duo. The first season ends on a gripping cliffhanger where Purva gets abducted. The series explores the themes of love, passion, obsession, and betrayal. Its pulpy treatment is what makes it immensely thrilling and entertaining.
The much anticipated season two of the series seems to begin right where it left. Going by the trailer, the upcoming season is going to get even more wild as the lines between love, obsession, and insanity get blurred even further. The entry of a new character in Gurmeet Choudhary adds more intrigue. Will Vikrant finally be able to finish Purva and her mania once and for all? Or will he be the one who ends up being finished?

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 cast
The second season has Tahir reprising his titular role as Vikrant, and Anchal as Purva. The show will also see the return of Shweta as Shikha. Arunoday Singh, who featured in the first season as a contract killer also seems to be making his return in season two. Gurmeet is the new addition to the cast of the series in the second season. He will be seen playing Purva’s friend who has entered the scene in order to get her back at any cost. The show also stars Anant V Joshi, Hetal Gada, Saurabh Shukla, Brijendra Kala, Shashi Verma, Anjuman Saena, and Surya Sharma in significant roles.
