The wait is finally over! Jaideep Ahlawat starrer Paatal Lok is finally back with the second installment. After releasing a new poster with the release date for the sequel, makers have now dropped an official teaser of the highly anticipated show. Directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware, the crime thriller series marks the return of Ishwak Singh and Gul Panag, while Tillotama Shome also joins the stellar cast.
Paatal Lok Season 2 teaser
The latest teaser witnesses Jaideep as Hathiram Chaudhary sharing a cryptic note as he travels to the underworld (Paatal Lok) via an elevator. The video begins with the actor stepping into a lift and telling a story of a man, who hates insects and how that person killed the creature as soon as it bites him. He further explains how that man becomes an overnight hero in his village but as soon as he sleeps at night, an infinite number of insects attack him.
As the Maharaj actor tells the tale, he keeps descending down via the elevator with an extensive force. After sharing his crupatic message in the form of a story, he further concludes, “Poor guy… he killed one insect and thought it was over. That’s not how it works. Not down here in Paatal Lok.”

Paatal Lok Season 2 new poster
After officially announcing the second season with an official poster, the OTT giant shared another poster of the upcoming series and unveiled the release date on social media. The new image sees Jaideep’s Hathiram Chaudhary’s half of the face covered with an animal skull. The post reads, “Gates open this new year. #PaatalLokOnPrime, New season, Jan 17 (sic).”

Along with Jaideep, the Avinash Arun Dhaware directorial marks the return of Ishwak Singh and Gul Panag for the second season. Meanwhile, Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Barua are the new additions to the stellar cast. Bankrolled by Anushka Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz in association with Eunoia Films LLP, Paatal Lok Season 2 is all set to release on Prime Video on January 17, 2025.
