Tom Cruise starrer Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is all set to hit theatres worldwide in May 2025. After an official teaser, the makers have recently released a fantastic official trailer that witnesses the 62-year-old Hollywood star performing deadly and jaw-dropping stunts onscreen. This Christopher McQuarrie-directed espionage action drama is based on a television series of the same name by Bruce Geller.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Trailer
The latest trailer begins with establishing that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is behind bars for not following rules and applying unconventional methods during his missions, such as gas bombing his superiors, ghosting his organisation, breaking into CIA vault and more. A few senior agents appear to be discussing their rule-breaker, yet the best agent, and how they need him back for another mission. One of them asks why he is so important, to which the other replies, “If we want to bring the world back from the brink, we have to deal with him.”
Moving on, the video sees the IMF agent assembling a team and explaining how they are going to complete this mission. The trailer further gives glimpses of new action sequences of the upcoming movie, as well as all the breathtaking stunts that have been performed by Tom in the last seven installments of this popular film series. The latest video also hints at multiple parallel timelines taking place in the finale. Meanwhile, the iconic Mission: Impossible title track can be heard in the background.
The actor-filmmaker took to his official Instagram handle to share the latest trailer video with a cryptic caption that reads, “Every choice, every mission, has all led to this. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. May 23, 2025 (sic).”

The Tom Cruise starrer has Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett, and Rolf Saxon reprising their characters from the previous film. Meanwhile, Mariela Garriga, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Shea Whigham, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Charles Parnell, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Frederick Schmidt also feature in the action spy flick.

Director Christopher McQuarrie has also co-produced the film alongside Tom Cruise under the banners of Skydance Media, TC Productions, New Republic Pictures and Paramount Pictures. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is set to hit theatres worldwide on May 23, 2025.
