National Award-winning filmmaker Shoojit Sircar – who is best known for movies like Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe, Piku, Pink, October and Gulabo Sitabo, among others – is back in the news with his upcoming release. Abhishek Bachchan-starrer I want to Talk promises a unique take on people’s everyday life and emotions.

Sharing the teaser of the movie on X (formerly Twitter), Abhishek wrote, “We all know that one person who lives to talk. Here’s the story of a man who always looks at the brighter side of life, no matter what life throws at him!”

In the teaser, a bobblehead that looks like Abhishek’s face is placed on the dashboard of a moving car. Wearing khaki shorts and black shoes, it narrates in the actor’s voice, saying, “I don’t just love to talk, I live to talk. I see only this basic difference between life and death. Those who are alive can speak; those who are dead can’t.”

Produced by Rising Sun Films and Kino Works, I Want To Talk is ready to hit the cinemas worldwide on November 22. Shoojit’s last directorial was the 2021 biographical historical drama film Sardar Udham, starring Vicky Kaushal. Noted for its realistic portrayal of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the movie won five National Film Awards, including ‘Best Feature Film in Hindi, as well as nine Filmfare Awards.

Meanwhile, I Want To Talk is seen as a crucial release for Abhishek, as his latest films – The Big Bull, Bob Biswas, Dasvi and Ghoomer – couldn’t impress the audience so much. Apart from I Want To Talk, the actor will be seen in Remo D’Souza-directed Be Happy, where he will share screen space with dad Amitabh Bachchan, alongside Nora Fatehi, Johny Lever, Nassar and Harleen Sethi. Also in the pipeline is Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5, also starring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Chitrangda Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Sanjay Dutt, among others.
