The makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are leaving no stone unturned to create hype around the film before it hits the theatres this Diwali weekend. Be it the multi-city promotional tours, or dropping glimpses from the film in the form of songs post the release of its trailer – every possible step is being take to ensure that the viewers make it a point to watch the film in theatres.
Just a day before Diwali, on Wednesday evening, the makers dropped the video of the fourth song from the film’s music album titled Hukkush Phukkush. Ever since the film’s trailer has been released, the makers have shared the groovy title track, the romantic number Jaana Samjho Na, and more recently, Aami Je Tomar 3.0 that features a dance battle between Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit Nene. The audio jukebox containing a total of five songs had already been released about a week back.
Inspiration for Hukkush Phukkush:
The visuals of all the four songs that have been released so far are in stark contrast to each other. Each of the songs brings in a distinct flavour to the music of the film. Coming to the latest track Hukkush Phukkush, it seems to have been inspired by a Kashmiri folk song Hukus Bukus – which is also a popular lullaby. The term ‘Hukus Bukus’ roughly translates to “Who are you and who am I?”

More than just a fun song:
From the looks of it, the song Hukkush Phukkush in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 blends elements from the folk lullaby and the traditional Dhunuchi Naach performed during Durgapuja celebrations. The song begins as a fun and energetic number, replete with Kartik Aaryan’s antics along with a group of children who surround him. However, two-minutes into the visuals and its tonality completely changes to reveal Rooh Baba (Kartik) on a mission.
Sung by Sonu Nigam, Hukkush Phukkush has been written by Som and its music has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi. Also seen in a few frames of the track are Vijay Raaz and Tripti Dimri. The song which seems to begin as a means to please them both, later turns into something with a larger purpose. What will that purpose be? We’ll have to wait to watch the film and find out on November 1, 2024. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will clash with Rohit Shetty directorial Singham Again at the ticket windows.
