Netflix India unveiled a huge slate, including movies and web series, for 2025. At a recent event on February 3, the OTT giant surprised the viewers with a barrage of announcements including a few new ventures as well as the highly anticipated installments of the popular hit shows. Among many, Akka is one of the most promising series starring Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte. The makers have just released a striking first look of the revenge thriller drama.
Akka First Look
The latest video teases the first impression of all the significant characters in the upcoming series. The fast-paced video begins by introducing Monika Panwar and Veebha Anand as feisty village women. A lot of cultural meets and events appear to be taking place in the teaser. Keerthy enters the montage with a group of women parading behind her. The actress looks serious and terrifying when she walks on the aisle freely.
A lot of women appear to be taking charge of almost everything in the series. After a very brief introduction of Tanvi Azmi as another matriarch, Radhika teases the viewers on the screen and someone else in front of her as she sits on the boss’ chair. The talented actress looks charming at first, but as the video moves ahead, she takes on a sinister appearance. Most of the time, women appear combating with goons, firing guns and striking knives and swords.
Netflix took to its Instagram and shared the first look video alongside Keerthy and YRF’s official handles with a fantastic caption that reads, “The matriarchy stands strong. A rebel plots their downfall. A girl from Pernuru seeks revenge against the Akkas. Akka is coming soon, only on Netflix. #Akka #AkkaOnNetflix #NextOnNetflixIndia (sic).”

Release Date
Bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the highly anticipated revenge thriller drama is helmed by the debutant director Dharmaraj Shetty. Akka is set to arrive on Netflix soon. However, the official release date is yet to be out.
